About Us
Welcome to Winchester Aussies! I am a breeder of Australian Shepherds, and am located in Northern California. I have been in love with the Aussie for 35 plus years. First, as pets and family. More recently, as show and performance dogs. I was drawn to the Aussie for so many reasons: their intelligence, brilliance, beauty, agility, loyalty; protection just to name a few. Our dogs are our family, so they live in our house. I also happen to be a horse trainer, so they are exposed to the farm life. They are exposed to horses, chickens, gates, trailers, tarps, all aspects of ranch life, as well as all the daily running of the home. We make sure they are desensitized to a wide variety of things. We feel socializing is extremely important, so our puppies are exposed to lots of people and kids coming and going from my horse business. Additionally, we like to take them out to further socialize them to places such as Home Depot, PetSmart, and Horse shows. First and foremost, our goal is to produce structurally well-bred dogs, in accordance with the breed standard of the Australian Shepherd Club of America, that are also good citizens and well-rounded family members.
